GIP Membership / Community Meeting

Thursday, September 15th

6:45 PM to 8:15 PM

Advent Lutheran Church
5820 Pinemont Drive
Houston, TX 77092

New legislation could nullify your annual elections

Recent amendments to the Texas Residential Property Owners Protection Act will supersede HOA bylaws in many cases and leave HOAs open to litigation and challenge.

The Greater Inwood Partnership has asked two experts to come and discuss what these changes mean. For this first meeting we have asked them to focus on elections, the procedure, and who can run (surprisingly an owner who is delinquent in paying assessment fees can run).

They will provide insight into the new legislation on eligible candidates, quorums, ballots, rights to vote, meeting notices, etc. If there is sufficient interest GIP will plan future sessions as it relates to the legislation changes.

Please plan to attend this very informative meeting. Beverages and cookies will be served. We look forward to seeing you!
