Summer, Summer, Summertime!
For me, summer has always been one of the most energetically intense seasons of the year. For Saartjie Project, it is the season we were born in. This Sunday, June 24th, we usher in our season with Four Women.
If you've been to more than one TSP performance, 1. you're amazing and 2. you know the show is never the same. Four Women is no exception. I am so so excited to witness and share with you what has been re-imagined by the members of the ensemble!
My sister-collaborators have been exploring the lives of Nina Simone, Saffronia, Peaches, Aunt Sarah and Sweet Thing for over a year. This Sunday, for one night only, they leave it all on stage.
Will you be there? (I sure hope so!)

Binah's Bloom is Sweet in June
The Mother Dance-Dialogue led by our very own Visionary Space Activator, Binahkaye Joy!
Binah says, " on June 30th, I will be facilitating my first workshop at Luminous Warrior. The Mother Dance-Dialogue is a special opportunity for women who identify as family to dance together and learn new things about each other. I first shared this workshop in Trinidad and I'm so happy to finally be presenting it to my DC community. Please tell all the women you love about this workshop. There is so much to gain from dancing together! Find more details about the workshop and registration here."
