Natalie Jane's Fund Raiser
As many of you are aware, Natalie recently had a fire in her apartment above the restaurant (on the Square in Clarkesville). Fortunately, there was minimal damage ... but the fire department discovered major code violations. The electrical issues have been repaired but the plumbing still requires repairs costing approximately $2,500. If these repairs are not made or a contingency plan in place by October 8, 2010, the city will revoke the business license for Natalie Jane's.
Since other locations aren't available at this time, some loyal customers suggested a fundraiser so Natalie Jane's may continue to serve quality food at reasonable prices, as well as provide the charming atmosphere unique to Natalie Jane's.
Raffle tickets will be available for $10 each, starting Friday, October 1, 2010 at Natalie Jane's.
There will be FIVE PRIZES with winners for each!

Batesville Historic Celebration!
This annual one day event is famous for the great music and bar-b-que ... not to mention the art and local craft to be found in beautiful downtown Batesville, Georgia. There's always an old-fashioned cake walk, a quilt raffle, demonstrations, live music, face painting, lots of great food, friends and fun.
The Batesville community Association started the celebration as a way of supporting the fire department and at the same time celebrate the families and ancestors of this mountain community.
Demonstrators from Batesville and nearby communities show a glimpse of life in the early 1900s. Even the music played all day is of the early 20th century. The event and parking is free. Call 706-947-1601 for additional information or visit batesvilledays.com.
