New York City premiere of

HaMapah/המפה

HaMapah/המפה is having its New York City premiere on May 12, 2010 at the JCC in Manhattan!

DNAWORKS' latest production, HaMapah/המפה (conceived and performed by Adam McKinney and directed by Daniel Banks), weaves contemporary dance with archival material, personal interviews, and video set to traditional, contemporary, and classical music. In this 40-minute performance piece, McKinney explores issues of identity, culture, self-hood, and community.

As part of the program, immediately following the performance, DNAWORKS Co-Directors McKinney and Banks lead a community dialogue about the audience's relationship to the core ideas of the piece -- the personal and the collective, the present and the past.

Space is limited! Make sure to make your reservations early! Call 646-505-5708 or book online

If you are interested in bringing HaMapah/המפה to your area, please e-mail Jeremy Karafin: Jeremy@dnaworks.org
