This mare and her half-sister are now safe in our rehabilitation program while our humane officers continue investigating. Your help is needed to support their long road to recovery.

FIVE DAYS LEFT TO MAKE YOUR YEAR-END DONATION

Our animal welfare activities reached amazing heights this year as we worked to rescue, remove, and re-home pets and livestock from a myriad of abuse, neglect, and unacceptable conditions. As the only nonprofit with humane officers in Placer County, we carry on with your support.

This is a friendly reminder asking you to consider making a gift before the New Year begins. Whatever you can afford to contribute will make a difference. In return we promise to spend it wisely and benefit as many animals as possible.

If you've already given your gift this year or made a monthly pledge for next year, the animals are sending you a big THANKS. Whether you've donated, shopped our Used Book Store & Boutique or been a part of our volunteer team, we couldn't do this work without you.

We hope you will consider making a donation in these final few days of giving for 2011.

You can contribute on-line through the links below. If you prefer to mail in your donation Click Here for a mail-in form.

For 2012, we wish you a safe and happy New Year.

Meet the wonderful menagerie that formerly resided at A Chance for Bliss Animal Sanctuary in Penryn. These dogs, goats, pigs, sheep, and horses are awaiting their new forever homes. Many are seniors and many have special needs but all they need is a special someone like you to complete them and to love them for the rest of their lives. See this web page for more details.

Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter works to find homes for homeless, abused and neglected animals, while the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills enforces the laws of animal abuse and neglect. Considered "sister" organizations, they work collectively to protect animals and serve the public. Both organizations are approved 501(c)(3) non-profit groups.
