Many thanks to everyone who came out for our Advent Retreat. Dr. Petty did an excellent job of helping us to think through questions related to the purpose of worship. In addition to members of St. Marks, we had visitors from three other churches. Many thanks to everyone who helped to make our retreat such a fine day.
Live Nativity Pageant - This Saturday
Please join us on this Saturday (December 17th (2-3:30)) for:
1. A Live Nativity Pageant at which the Archangel Gabriel will dramatically recount the birth of Jesus (2-3pm) 2. Hot cocoa and cookies and a special visit from St. Nicholas who will share with the children about the meaning of Christmas (3-3:30pm).
The Greening of the Church - Thursday 10 am (09/22)
Please join us on Thursday, December 22nd (10 am) for the Greening of the Church (putting out our festive Christmas decorations).
Please bring a bag lunch and a pair of clippers (if you have them).
Speak with Phyllis Darrah for more information.
As in years past, if you plan to give Christmas cards to other parishioners at St. Marks - we encourage you to make use of our parish "Mailbox" (located in Cranmer Hall).
Place your cards for other parishioners in the box and then please consider writing out a check for the amount of money that you saved on postage, which we will give to a local charity.
Poinsettias for Christmas
If you wish to donate Poinsettias to beautify the sanctuary on Christmas and during Christmastide, please note that the deadline to submit your order form is this Sunday (Dec 18th).
