Christos Anesti! Alithos Anesti!

Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Many thanks to everyone who helped during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday. I would especially like to thank Sue Rodgers, Naomi Morris, the Altar Guild, and those who assisted in services - Fr. Riches, Alan Panek, Deacon Converse, Jody Applebaum, Austin Caldwell, Jared Mitchell and Alec Mitchell.

I am also grateful to the Senior Choir, especially those who were present for all of the principle services and to the Junior Choir (and their parents) for all the time they put into preparing those wonderful anthems and introits.

Bernie and his team also deserve a lot of credit for all their long-suffering as they continue to labor on the Pipe Organ project. It was a great joy to hear it being played for the first time this Sunday after the service.

In Christ,
Fr. Patterson, Rector

The Pascal Candle

Perhaps you noticed the Pascal Candle this past Sunday. The Pascal Candle was first lit at the Easter Vigil (the Bishop blessed New Fire outside the church and from this the Pascal Candle was lit and then solemnly processed by the Deacon into the church). Our Pascal Candle is presently inside the altar rail where it will remain until Ascension Day (May 17th), when it will be extinguished between the reading of the Gospel and the recitation of the Creed. After Ascension the Pascal Candle will be placed in the back of the sanctuary, next to the baptismal font and it will be lit at baptisms.

Please be certain to indicate if the flowers are given in memory of, in thanksgiving for or in honor of a particular person, anniversary, birthday, etc.
