There is much celebrating of the holidays at your Club. Check out the many activities and plan to join in.

We ask too that you remember to submit your contribution to the Employee Holiday Fund to show your appreciation for the service our staff provide all year round.

This Month at the Club

First Fridays

First Fridays Cocktails - December 6th 7-8:30pm

Mix and mingle with your fellow members as live music plays in the background.

Antonio is stirring and shaking some fun cocktails for the ocassion.

LIMITED ACCESS - Friday, December 13th

There are two private events at the Club at this evening which means:
On the 2nd Floor
- Dining room is closed to membership
- Member dining will be available in the Board Room ONLY - the Card Room will be available as lounge area and drinks. Kitchen will remain open until 10pm. A wait staff will be assigned to this room.
On the 1st Floor
- The Gramercy Opera is producing Story of an Hour, based on the1894 short story by Kate Chopin, in a classic operetta-esque style. To purchase tickets Tickets may be purchased by clicking this link*
- At the end of performance there will be a reception of cider and cookies.
- AND the 1st floor bar will be open to all members at the Late Night Happy Hour price

Family Holiday Brunch - Sunday, December 15th, 1-3pm

There will be plenty of activities for the kids and child care provided.

Adults w/o cocktails - $26 or $34 with brunch cocktails.

Victorian Christmas Dinner - Friday, December 20th 6pm.

Celebrate the holidays with friends and family in the Victorian splendor of the Club. There will be traditional Christmas readings and, of course, Christmas carols.
Passed hors d’oeuvres at 6 PM with buffet dinner to follow.

Cost is $65 including admin. fee & tax.

Book Club meets on the first Friday of the month at 7pm in the Board Room. Next meeting is Friday, December 6th - Selection: Excellent Women by Barbara Pym

Artful Dodgers Open Mic Poetry Reading meets the third Saturday of the month 4-6pm. Next reading is December 21st

Committee Meetings

All members are welcome to join the various committees of the club. Committees are where the work and planning for the Club is done. Service on the Committees also makes members eligible for election to the Board of Directors.

STANDING COMMITTEES
Entertainment Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month. Nadia Bartolucci and Chelsea Thompson, Co-Chairs
House Committee meets the next to last Wednesday of each month. Douglas Graham Moore, Jr. , Chair
Membership Committee meets the third Thursday of each month. Leslie McKinley, Chair.
Finance Committee meets the second Wednesday of the month. Bob Gilbert, Chair.

AD HOC COMMITTEES
Communication Committee meets as needed, Leslie McKinley, Chair
Reciprocal Committee meets as needed, Dennis Baker, Chair

Reciprocal Clubs

The Montauk Club offers its members reciprocal privileges to a number of clubs, many of which are outside of the United States. Club members wishing to avail themselves of these agreements need to obtain a letter of introduction to present to the reciprocal club for each visit. Letters may be arranged by contacting the Club Manager. For a full list of reciprocal clubs click HERE

▪ A la carte dining is available on Wednesday through Saturday beginning at 6:00 pm, with the last order to the kitchen at 9:30 pm. The Club bar is open Wednesday through Saturday 5:30pm to 11pm with last call at 10:45 pm.
▪ Our traditional Sunday brunch is served 11:00-3:00 pm, with the last order to kitchen at 2:30 pm.
▪ Happy Hour is every Wednesday 5:30-7:00 pm. Drinks are half price.
▪ Late Nite Happy Hour every Friday and Saturday 9 to last call.
▪ For special occasions – weddings, parties, meetings, etc. – members are, of course, invited and encouraged to talk with our private events manager.
