WINTER SATURDAYS JUST GOT A LITTLE WARMER

All drinks will be half price every Saturday in January and February. That's beer, wine by the glass and mixed drinks - from opening until last call at 1045pm.

HINT: See a play on Broadway or movie at BAM and then come to discuss at your Club!

Thank you all who contributed to the Employee Holiday Fund

Members contributed a record amount for our staff. The first distribution was made on December 20th and for those late donors the funds are being given at the end of the week.

New Members Cocktail Party - Thursday, January 10th 7-8:30pm

Our first cocktail party of the year welcomes our new members. We will also have our third installment of "The Montauk Club Makes History".

We had 8 new members join in November and the newest members joining in December are: Elizabeth Jane Beckwith, Pamela Caruso, Elinor Fuchs, Sanjeeb Genomal, Holly Hunter, Katie Keating, Nikola Ruzicic- Kessler, and Jon Victor

BILLIARDS & GAMES NIGHT - Wednesday, January 16th 6:30pm to 10pm

Sharpen your cue sticks and join us for an evening for pool, cards, and board games! A variety of games will be provided, or bring your favorite from home!

Beer and wine by the glass will be $5 and selected appetizers will be 1/2 price.

Billiards & Games Night is held the 3rd Wednesday of month.

Movie Night - Thursday, January 17th at 7:30pm

The winter cold won't be much of a bother for members wise enough to join in watching Some Like It Hot.

As it turns out this movie, filmed in 1959, is considered one of the final nails in the coffin for the Hays Code.

Monthly Club Meetings

Beer Club meets every the second Thursday of month at 8:00 pm in the Board Room. Resumes January 10th at 8pm

Book Club is changing when it meets - will now meet the first Friday of the month at 7pm in the Board Room. Next meeting is Friday, January 11th at 7pm Selection is Erebus by Michael Palin

Artful Dodger Poetry Readings is held the last Sunday of the month. Offering poets an open mic. Next readings: Saturady, January 19th at 4pm.

Committee Meetings

All members are welcome to join the various committees of the club. Committees are where the work and planning for the Club is done. Service on the Committees also makes members eligible for election to the Board of Directors.

STANDING COMMITTEES
Entertainment Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month. Nadia Bartolucci and Chelsea Thompson, Co-Chairs
House Committee meets the next to last Wednesday of each month. Douglas Graham Moore, Jr. , Chair
Membership Committee meets the third Thursday of each month. Leslie McKinley, Chair. No meeting this month in lieu of Cocktails on the 10th.
Finance Committee meets the second Wednesday of the month. Bob Gilbert, Chair. This month the meeting is January 16th.

AD HOC COMMITTEES
Communication Committee meets as needed, Leslie McKinley, Chair
Long-Term Planning Committee meets the first or second Thursday of each month please check calendars. Doug De Feis, Chair
Reciprocal Committee meets as needed, Dennis Baker, Chair

Reciprocal Clubs

The Montauk Club offers its members reciprocal privileges to a number of clubs, many of which are outside of the United States. Club members wishing to avail themselves of these agreements need to obtain a letter of introduction to present to the reciprocal club for each visit. General Clubhouse Information
* A la carte dining is available on Wednesday through Saturday beginning at 6:00 pm, with the last order to the kitchen at 9:30 pm. The Club bar is open Wednesday through Saturday 5:30pm to 11pm with last call at 10:45 pm.

▪ Our traditional Sunday brunch is served 11:00-3:00 pm, with the last order to kitchen at 2:30 pm.
▪ Happy Hour is every Wednesday 5:30-7:00 pm. Drinks are half price.
▪ For special occasions – weddings, parties, meetings, etc. – members are, of course, invited and encouraged to make individual arrangements.
▪ Our traditional Sunday brunch is served 11:00-3:00 pm, with the last order to kitchen at 2:30 pm.
