AIA New Mexico Opposes Border Wall

The Board of Directors of AIA New Mexico unanimously passed a Resolution on Alternatives to the Border Wall in opposition to the construction of a permanent wall extending the full length of the US/Mexico border. The Resolution was passed on September 19, 2017, joining fellow AIA chapters in other border states in opposition to the wall. The full Resolution may be read here.

2017 AIA New Mexico Awards GALA

The AIA New Mexico Design + Honor Awards Gala will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Albuquerque Museum of Art + History, 2000 Mountain Road NW, at 6:30 pm. Reservations are required and may be made here.

This biennial awards program encourages and recognizes distinguished architectural achievement by New Mexico architects. The program serves to increase public awareness of the outstanding services provided by architects as well as emphasize the importance of the architect's role in shaping the quality of the built environment through design excellence. Awards will be given in the categories of Design, Practice, Leadership, and Education.
